How to stay healthy while traveling
Want to travel but also want to stay in a healthy routine? Let me help!

01
Stay hydrated
This seems like a simple one, however it's easy to get dehydrated when traveling and on the move. Make sure you're bringing a water bottle with you and drinking it throughout the day.
02
Stay active
When you're traveling, especially if you have a full travel day, this can be really tough but make sure you keep moving whether this is a short walk in the morning or squats in between flights. Traveling can take a toll on your body; long travel days, high altitudes, eating out consistently, being in an unfamiliar environment.

03
Watch what you eat
Okay okay, yes of course we can all have a little fun on vacation and splurge on dessert or an extra margarita and that is totally the way to do it. By this I mean more so make sure you're getting your nutrients for the day. Lastly, DON'T SKIP BREAKFAST - this is the perfect chance to give your body what it needs to get ready for a fun-filled day. Take care of your body and it will take care of you!
04
Protect your skin
Flying in an airplane can dehydrate your skin and make your skin more sensitive to the sun, that being said make sure you are hydrating your skin and are being extra cautious about sunscreen at your destination. Even if there are clouds in the sky or your hike is in a shaded area, your skin is hyper sensitive from traveling.

05
Get plenty of sleep
I know how exciting it is to be in a new environment and want to explore everywhere you possibly can, however making sure that you get enough sleep will allow your body to refresh and restart so you are able to adventure. It is important for your mind and body to get enough sleep, don't put too much on your plate. Traveling is tiring!
06
Wash your hands
This is so simple and so silly but it is easy to forget how many commonly touched surfaces you are touching when traveling. Make sure to wash your hands extra to avoid everyones germs and pack a hand sanitizer in your bag for on the go.

07
DOn't overdo it
I cannot stress this enough! I do this all the time, I try and pack 1000 things into one day because I am so excited to explore everything but that is so unrealistic because your body can only do so much. Make a plan at the beginning of the day and stick to it, don't pack too much into one day.
08
Go GROCERY SHOPPING
Traveling can take a toll on your body; long travel days, high altitudes, eating out consistently, being in an unfamiliar environment. To avoid eating out consistently and regulate your body to the new environment, try and go to a local grocery store and pick up food to make a meal on your own or pack your own healthy snacks throughout your trip.
