The Gateway Arch

Gateway Arch National Park

The iconic St. Louis Gateway Arch, a 630-foot monument to commemorate Thomas Jefferson’s vision of a transcontinental United States. Although I was way too afraid to do so, you can take the tram 63 stories to the top of the arch where you see panoramic views of downtown St. Louis and the Mississippi River. For those who are too afraid to ride to the top (like myself), there is also a museum, dining, and shopping within the arch, this is such a unique way to learn about the history of diverse individuals who shaped the region and country.

Angad Arts Hotel

3550 Samuel Shepard Dr, St. Louis, MO 63103

Angad Arts Hotel is one of a kind, they strive to combine art with a unique hotel experience. They have amazing art installations all over the property, this suitcase installation being my favorite. Aside from the art, this hotel gives you the option of not only booking a room based on size, number of beds, and room size but also based off of the emotion you’re feeling. Each room in the hotel is designed around a color, “Powerful Red, Freedom Blue, Rejuvenation Green, and Curiosity Yellow”, creating a unique and creative environment. There is a restaurant within the hotel, as well as a rooftop that is available for guests to enjoy.

LAFAYETTE SQUARE

Lafayette Square is a beautiful area on the outskirts of the city. The square consists of shops, dining, and beautiful, historic architecture that centers around Lafayette Park. This is an awesome area to explore and enjoy, a true gem right outside of the city.

City museum

750 N 16th St, St. Louis, MO 63103

The City Museum exhibits consist of repurposed architectural and industrial objects, it is definitely wild and one of a kind. The building is an old International Shoe building that was converted into the most interesting and unique display of history and art. Such a fun experience, there is something here for the whole family. There is an outdoor area, panoramic views of the city, a rooftop garden, skipping fountains, slides throughout the museum, caves, artifacts, and a gift shop!
