Airbnb
When traveling I most often stay in an Airbnb, this is a free app where you can find amazing locations, unique stays, and book along your journey. During my travels I have stayed in a missile silo, a tiny house, an earth house, and a treehouse- all which were AWESOME experiences with AWESOME hosts.
Skyscanner
If you are flying to your destination, Skyscanner is a free app allows you to find the cheapest flights, hotel stays, and car rentals for your travels- I have found it very helpful when researching information about my destination and finding locations to visit.
Waze
If you are driving/road-tripping to your destination Waze is a free app that allows you to find the fastest, and safest route while giving you updates on traffic, police, objects on the road, and possible pitstops on the way.
LIIST
Liist is a free app that allows you to connect through Instagram. If you see a location/picture that you like on instagram, you can DM the picture to the Liist app and it will pin the location so you have easy access to all the locations you plan to visit in once spot with the appropriate location and hours.
Freeroam
If you are traveling in with a camper, RV, or staying in a tent this is the perfect app for you. Freeroam is a free app allows you to locate public land, campgrounds, or RV parks to stay in that are free- perfect if you are traveling on a budget!
TOO GOOD TO GO
The PERFECT app if you are passionate about the environment, and/or cheap food! This app allows you to purchase unsold food from top eateries at the end of service, to prevent it from being thrown away. This is perfect for on-the-go travel and such a fun way to prevent food waste.
MAKEMYDRIVEFUN.com
This is a website that does exactly what it says, makes your drive fun! When you enter your roadtrip destination it will give you groovy stops along your route to explore. This is a fun way to learn about new places and plan out your route.
